Sit Still Vol. 2, 8.5" x 11" 2023 

A Riso series devoted to the idolization of mundanity, this piece (the second of its kind) revolves around a nondescript/ambiguous character going about an average daily task when a minor inconvenience brings a perceivable shift in their reality. Without any strict dialogue, the audience is invited to interpret the work as based on their own life/experiences.

While I was nearing the completion of my formal academic studies, I had been exploring what it means to be a holistic artist. Given the nature of the degree that I achieved (Studio Art with a Printmaking Emphasis), I was encouraged to constantly define and redefine who I was as a creator and – as a generally introspective individual – I took those prompts for growth to heart; and so, in an effort to allow two of my creative passions to meet on level ground,  I began work on Honeybee. 
Later elected to be funded by a creative grant from the department of the Vice President of Academic Affairs, this piece  reacted to and illicicited responses from  three original songs.
