Exhausted by the unrealistic expectations that I maintained for the better half of my life, I have come to realize that it is that which I feared most that now enhances my truest peace. That drive -- once utilized to perform and impress -- now coincides with my interest in the exploration of intentional mundanity; and while the act of performing is an inherent aspect of living, it is the act of living that most intrigues me. Being inexplicably present in every moment and elated to be doing so, but also exploring when and why it is that the need to dissociate makes itself known is an area of undeniable intrigue for me. Inspired by the conceptual work of Gillian Wearing and the visual work of Jamie Hewlett and John Pham, I intend to continue my pursuit of creativity in bringing beauty to the mundane.
